“Donde la tradición no se pierde”
— Lorena
Donde la tradición no se pierde.
It all began in San Miguel with Margarita Cristina de Rodriguez Angulo.
Before there was a bakery, there were two recipes that started it all: Quesadilla and pastelitos. Made fresh by hand, day after day, using tradition, memory, and ingredients that brought people together.
No recipes were written down. Everything was learned by watching, by helping, by doing.
In 2003, Lorena brought that tradition back to the United States—sharing those same flavors with family, friends, and neighbors.
Years later, that same family tradition found its home in Manassas. Same recipes. Same sabor. Same corazón. Just now, shared with a new generation.

Despite the name, quesadilla salvadoreña is nothing like the Mexican dish. It's a dense, buttery pound cake made with rice flour, sour cream, and aged cheese — tangy, slightly sweet, and perfect with black coffee. It's one of our most popular items and a staple of Salvadoran baking.
